December has felt hectic and tiring so far with many ups and downs that make me so grateful to have found the best boyfriend in the whole wide world who patiently holds me while I cry over silly things like long hours at work and too much self-inflicted pressure at trying to make everything perfect for the holidays.
I’ve had to put aside an order that I received months ago (a clutch purse: completely new design! Post to come as soon as I’ve finally made it) to be able to have things ready for Christmas. I intend to get it done very early in the new year to get rid of the overwhelming sense of guilt attached with this delay.
Since what I’ve been working on this month cannot yet be shared, here’s a teaser:
And since I know this leaves you wholly unsatisfied, here are some pictures of the gingerbread village my friends and I built over the weekend. The village consisted of a train, a train station that stayed up due to an insane amount of icing and my friend’s unfailing determination (or impatience: same difference), a clock tower, some Happy Potter items (not being a Harry Potter fan I wouldn’t really be able to give them proper names but Harry himself made an appearance), snowmen, a caterpillar, and two very menacing reindeer.
Yes, one of the reindeer has impaled a gummy bear with his antler. Fun times!
More posts, including a recap on my 2011 goals, to come in the New Year. Happy holidays everyone!!
